The National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a joint call for Canada-France research proposals on artificial intelligence. This call is led by the French national Research Agency (ANR), in collaboration with NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, and IVADO.
The call aims to support collaborative multi- and inter-disciplinary research projects in the areas of generative AI and the safety of embedded AI. This initiative will allow researchers from different scientific fields to access co-funding on a large number of research themes, in addition to their recurrent funding allocations.
NSERC is the designated agency coordinating the Canadian activities related to the call, regardless of the research focus or whether it is in the natural sciences and engineering, social sciences and humanities, or health fields.
Key details of the funding opportunity include
