With the increasing amount of data being generated and processed, companies must adopt stringent security measures to protect user information. This includes implementing advanced encryption techniques, regular security audits, and transparent privacy policies.

Data protection counsel Shloka Narayanan from Poovayya & Co. highlighted the importance of legal compliance in the digital age. She stressed that businesses must adhere to existing data protection laws and regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Bill. Additionally, there is a need for new legislation to address the unique challenges posed by AI, such as algorithmic bias and autonomous decision-making.

Another panel discussion, moderated by Dr. A Nagarathna, Associate Professor of Law at NLSIU, included Anuj Bhansali, VP of Trust & Safety at PhonePe, Rahul Sasi, Co-Founder and CEO of CloudSEK, and Dr. Fakkeerappa Kaginelli, DIG of Law and Order in Andhra Pradesh. The panelists discussed the role of technology in enhancing cybersecurity and the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Dr. Bhansali emphasized the need for a multi-stakeholder approach, where government, industry, and academia work together to develop comprehensive solutions. He highlighted the importance of sharing threat intelligence and best practices to stay ahead of cybercriminals.

Rahul Sasi, an expert in cybersecurity, discussed the role of AI in enhancing threat detection and response. He explained how AI can be used to analyze large volumes of data in real-time, identify potential threats, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
