The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform has officially launched the National Program for Children’s Training in Digital and Artificial Intelligence. This landmark initiative is designed to empower the next generation with essential digital competencies and creative technological skills.
The program is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the International Center for Artificial Intelligence in Morocco – AI Movement-UM6P, affiliated with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and recognized as a UNESCO Category II Center.
Running concurrently across Morocco’s twelve administrative regions between October 20 and 24, 2025, the initiative aims to promote digital culture among young people, nurture creativity and innovation, and prepare a qualified generation capable of navigating and shaping the global digital landscape.
By introducing children to key concepts in digital literacy, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies, the program seeks to inspire early engagement with STEM disciplines and build the foundations for a digitally empowered youth. It also reflects Morocco’s commitment to developing human capital aligned with the nation’s digital transformation goals.
This initiative falls under the broader framework of the national strategy “Digital Morocco 2030”, which envisions an advanced, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital society. The strategy aims to position Morocco as a regional leader in artificial intelligence, while ensuring that the country’s young citizens are equipped to contribute to sustainable development and global technological progress.
The Ministry emphasized that fostering digital awareness and AI proficiency among children is a key step toward securing Morocco’s place in the digital future and strengthening its capacity to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
