Google, a leader in technology and innovation, has introduced an advanced artificial intelligence-powered conversational platform specifically designed for the workplace. Gemini Enterprise is a cutting-edge solution that integrates a company’s data, tools, and people to create a seamless and efficient workflow.
The new Gemini Enterprise brings together a company’s documents, data, and applications, enabling employees to chat with these resources and access pre-built AI agents. Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced the platform in a blog post on Thursday, October 9. “Gemini Enterprise is an AI-powered conversational platform designed to bring the full power of Google AI to every employee for every workflow,” Pichai stated in the post.
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian provided further details in his own blog post, explaining that Gemini Enterprise combines Google’s Gemini models with a no-code workbench for analyzing information and orchestrating agents. It also includes pre-built agents that can deliver value from the first day, secure connections to a company’s data in various business applications, and a centralized governance framework for managing these capabilities. Additionally, users gain access to an ecosystem of over 100,000 Google partners.
“This isn’t just about making one task easier,” Kurian emphasized. “It’s about making entire workflows smarter by searching and finding information from all your enterprise documents, applications, email, and chat systems, and automating processes using agents with any of your enterprise applications.”
To support organizations in training their workforce to use these tools, Google introduced a platform called Google Skills, which offers free training from across Google. This includes a new educational program called Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR), which trains developers to build and deploy agents.
The company also announced a new team of Google AI engineers called Delta, which will assist organizations with their most complex challenges.
According to a recent PYMNTS Intelligence report, 26.7% of chief financial officers (CFOs) expect to increase their generative AI budgets in the next 12 months, down from 53.3% a year ago. This shift reflects a move from experimental adoption to more disciplined deployment of AI in enterprises.
