The walls of schools stopped being impermeable in 1980 when the personal computer was rolled out, and from there, we moved to wireless Internet, smartphones, and now, artificial intelligence. The New Brunswick government has established guidelines for AI use in classrooms, and MacLean's district, along with two others, has created their own, more detailed guides.
These guidelines are comprehensive, spanning nearly 70 pages, and address how AI should be used by administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
